we have stayed here many times. at long last they are starting to do renovations. quite a few cabins are new and look nice. more slabs being laid. the amenities blocks are going` to be renewed too, and a pool will be built. where we are, its very dry and dusty almost no grass.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $40 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Excellent playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- at last they are doing a renovation. but im sure the cost will go up. right on a beautiful beach and shorth stroll to golf course/club
Disliked:- our sites very dry and dusty

basically the same as last time(see below). amenities need doing up, but still clean and functioning. great spot. internet still terrible

Liked:- great spot close to beach, golf club and hotel.
Disliked:- its starting to show its age. facilities a bit run down but clean. internet - their and mine is hopeless and very unreliable, but thats the same for the whole of hawks nest
